LOUDSPEAKER Live Presents International Women’s Day Extravaganza, taking place at Left Bank Leeds on Saturday 4th March 2023, and featuring a showcase of amazing organisations and performances by women and marginalised genders.
This event will be part of a spectacular nine-day line-up of events at Left Bank Leeds for International Women’s Day 2023.
Sarah Autumn of LOUDSPEAKER Live says: “International Women’s Day is an important time to recognise the ongoing fight for gender justice. It’s also a time to celebrate the wonder, diversity and talents of women and marginalised genders.”

LOUDSPEAKER Live is a Between The Lines Leeds project. Between The Lines Leeds is a Community Arts using media and creativity to explore challenging issues. This event is being hosted at Left Bank Leeds. Left Bank Leeds is a progressive space for creativity, culture and community, set inside a beautiful Grade II* listed former church building. We’re proud to be working with the incredible team at Leftbank on this event. They have provided the venue at a hugely discounted rate in order to support this event and ensure it can run. This event will be kicking off a week long series of events for International Women’s Day.
What date and time is the event?
Saturday 4th March 2023 – 7-10pm
How will you ensure the event is accessible?
There will be sign language interpretation for the event. The venue is wheelchair accessible and there will be priority parking available for those who require it. We are working closely with the venue to ensure accessibility needs are met. If you require parking or have specific accessibility requests, please email btlleeds@gmail.com.
Will food and drink will be available?
Yes. Food and drinks will be available from the Leftbank Cafe bar throughout the evening.
Can I attend this event online?
Yes. The event (Performances and organisation spotlights 7.30pm-9.30pm) will all be streamed and accessed via a link and password which you will receive prior to the event. Select online ticket when booking.
What if I don’t want to be on the livestream?
Hosts, performers and spotlight organisations will mostly feature on the livestream. However, there may be some audience member shots. If you want to make sure that you do not appear on the livestream, please inform the person at the door who will let you know where to sit.
Can I perform at the event?

Is the event being sponsored?
Yes. There will be a small number of sponsorship opportunities. If you would like to be involved with this event as a sponsor, there are packages for £250, £500 and £750. These sponsors will help to ensure that the event is a great success and that everyone involved is paid fairly for their time. If you are a for profit organisation and feel that your values align with ours, please get in touch regarding the sponsorship opporunity.
Can I volunteer at the event?
Yes! Sarah Autumn and Denetta Copeland are managing this event as a not for profit event on a small budget so any help we can get from volunteers will be incredibly valuable. We need at least five volunteers for pre event activities and on the night. If you would like to volunteer, please email btlleeds@gmail.com.
Can children attend?
The event is appropriate for adults and teens accompanied by adults but is not suitable for small children.
Are men welcome to attend?
Of course! Whilst all of the performers and spotlight guests will represent women and marginalised genders, we give a warm welcome and encourage people of all genders to be part of the audience.
